He was even nice enough to autograph her one, too!– And it’s so Ironic that there’s a Taylor Swift poster hanging up…. Only because of how many “break-up” songs she has now accumulated within the past couple of years… I guess Lu is prepared now, though, just in case… – She even has a comic up there… wonder if it’s about an imaginary stuffed tiger? She happens to love all the stuff that Greg likes… including the Beatles….

I was "♫ Tricked by circumstances ♫ " into reading the small print!

I didn’t have much of a summer break after I graduated from high school; I had to report to the Missionary Training Center of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints the next month (my assignment came in the mail the previous month and was to Albuquerque, New Mexico).

Wouldn’t worry about countin’… not as long as a Kardashian has a Kamera!….

You heard her, Frank – she said “I can… live on my own!” This is your big chance, so take her up on it. Wait until she goes outside, and change the locks.

My cousin graduated a few weeks ago and right now, he’s taking it easy for the summer before he goes off to school in the fall. He wants to get his Associate’s and then Bachelor’s in computer science. He already knows a lot about computers and will make an excellent computer tech. But my mom (his aunt) is worried that he won’t go through with his plans, like his older brother (my other cousin), who graduated 4 years ago, because he has yet to do anything with his life (he got a scholarship, but still isn’t in school). I reassured her that my younger cousin has more of the will to follow through on his plans than his brother does. He’s more outgoing and ambitious.

What’s the meaning of ‘total procrastination’? We all find out tomorrow!

Wow! Utilites are nice- and paid? No trips to the local “Mom and Pop” bank!

She’s a good girl, Loves her iPadLoves Opera Houses, and Australia, tooShe’s a good girl, crazy about OzHe’s her lip holder… and her boyfriend, too… – Was that her Pizza? I saw the Beatles poster, and “I Should Have Known Better” popped into my head. I feel like it means something…

The posters—Australia, The Beatles, Taylor Swift, and Greg 6-22—all contribute. Graduation has clearly been tiring to our newly-liberated princess (and her pup, Puddles). But Mom and Pop are right, as usual: the brand new is just the same ol’ same ol’.

Luann, please start out with a nap to complete the rest of your life. Naps are good!

Wait until life smacks her in the face, she’ll look back on that “ordeal” with fond memories.

It’s a pity that Luann can’t do something out-of-the-box, like joining the US Military.

She darn well would learn to keep her area clean.

By the time my two girls graduated from high school, they were waaaaaaaay out of the messy room phase.

9? No, really. 9? Although I did have an uncle who married the same woman 3 times! btw-not that it matters, but I think that’s Zsa Zsa. Hungarian. What a language!

Actually, “the more things change, the more they remain the same.”

The difference is subtle, but it’s there.

Humph. Just WAIT until She Graduates from College. Lu will have a “Head-on Collision” With REALITY.

“Long public school ordeal” is right. Took Luann 29 years to get through high school. Looking forward to the next phase of the strip and some wacky new characters.

Another month and Luann will realize she doesn’t relate to the stuff in Seventeen magazine because its content is aimed toward schoolgirls. She will give all her Seventeen magazines to the girl down the street who is entering middle school. A week after that she will notice her room is like a schoolgirl’s room, so she will clean it and paint the walls. She will keep it orderly because she has reached that level of maturity. Her clothes will still be a teenage girl style for awhile, but she will not feel the pressure of dressing like all the others her age. She will develop her own style of dress.

Maybe Luann will decide to join AmeriCorps, but I don’t think so. http://www.nationalservice.gov/programs/americorps/join-americorps

Her senior year lasted only one year our time.*Time flies so fast— there’s so much more to cover- ACT/SAT, college apps, pictures, class trip, homecoming queen/king, leading all the school activities. I could’ve used another year to get used to all the changes.*Darn, I feel old! (even forgot how to spell my log-in name for five minutes.)*Happy Summer everybody!

Luann’s room doesn’t look much like my grandkids’ rooms. It’s much neater!

It’s also the birthday of someone who still won’t clean up messes, even though this person is ALL grown up. It happens. Ever been though a hoarder’s house? :-(

I’ve seen this poster with the Three Stooges on it. They’re wearing caps and gowns and there’s a caption that reads, “What Do We Do Now?”

“Plus ça change, plus c’est la même chose”.the more it changes, the more it’s the same thing.Or, everything old is new again.

Actually, I’m very familiar with the entire Beatles canon, and play many of their songs on guitar. (Some much better than others, however.)

“Kind of funny thinking of my earlier years.” -Love this story Brd. Reminded me of when I got an internship in my 2nd semester of grad school. I was hired after a month. When I got my first paycheck I was so elated because I realized I was making more than my mother.

More likely. I just listened to two different YT videos and did not hear a cannon in “Let ’em in.” But I did hear the fife and drums, as well as saw colonial British troops in full regalia.

“Sunday Will Never Be The Same”.^I was able to get my hands on that vinyl. Too bad that it wasn’t in great condition (not even playable condition)!

On “Yellow Submarine”, all manner of silverware were used in a percussive way…….

Forgot two things:

(1) I do however have a “45” of “Sunday Will Never Be The Same” .(2) I also have a “45” of “Kind Of A Drag” by the Buckinghams…. but…. I also have a “12 inch” from them… “Greatest Hits”. It’s in Mint condition, has a plastic jacket over the cover, and no scratches….. -Okay, I’ll throw this extra thing out there, since it’s on my mnd:

Many people may or may not realize it, but Richard Chamberlin and John Davidson (Game show/talk show host) were pretty decent singers and had recording careers. I have their albums on vinyl, as well…
