My wife will love, love, love this! Especially in view of this being our 18th year of marriage, on this day (she’s fond of those little “monkey-critters” and their antics, even more than “cute little bunnies”!)! Happy Anniversary, Seannise!
This is the perfect Sunday cute foible comic given the intensity in the current arc. I am about as bad at drawing as Shannon, but it’s Shannon so its cool.
That is how I draw! I draw the image first and decide what it is when I’m done. My flying saucers look like sombreros, my hot air balloon looks like an oven mitt.
Shannon: Why is she here? Three quarters of the year gone and the only fun thing has been the little, 15 year old, Fay, a would-be Tiffany, toting her stash of makeup and hot to trot. She is just about old enough to be in Greg’s comfort zone. So far, this year could be named, Revenge of the Sleaze. Let’s cut some slack for the good guys and have some fun.
This is very timely. Just two days ago we were caring for a four year old young friend and the real time evolution of children’s art works came up. It is actually very creative that they can find better fits for the subject as they draw during the years before they can sketch better.
What happened to Luann? We’re tired of Gunther and Les and Shannon is just too bratty. We miss Luann and Bernise and Brad and Toni. If things don’t improve we may just drop this comic.
First panel, Puddles wags tail in excitement. Last panel, Puddles is bewildered – “What happened?” Short story is Shannon does not know how to draw dogs but she still loves you.
I once tutored a foreign student who understood almost no English. The lesson in his book was talking about various animals. I can’t draw worth a darn, but I did manage to convey to him which animals it was talking about. Though I suspect it was the noises I made for the respective animals that clued him in more, LOL! (Who says “Old MacDonald” won’t come in useful in adulthood?) :-D

if it WERE Puddles, he’d be holding a bone instead of a banana

At least she got the legs, body, nose and mouth right. That’s something.

To hit a bullseye, first shoot the target (assuming you can) THEN draw the circles around the hole.

What happened to the two douchebags and the fat chick?

While everyone else in this strip changed, Puddles remained the same.

Change the banana to a beer and you would have Brad

Shannon’s age seems to fluctuate between story arcs. What is she today – about 8 or 9?
