I once worked in Seattle. When people went on job interviews and asked about benefits the first question was “What kind of coffee do you have?”
So I worked for a company that got bought out. The new owners figured that they could save $600 a year if they switched to a cheaper coffee. After that, about a half dozen or so software developers would meet up twice a day for at least a half hour to go downstairs to the coffee shop rather than grab a cup from the break room and go back to their desks. – Best $600 the company ever saved.
