My wife and I live on a small lake. We fall asleep to the sound of tree frogs, crickets, owls and other critters that go screech, hoot or chirp in the night. About the only sound that disturbs sleep happens at this time of year when the geese fight for nesting sights although those altercations can break out at any time of day.
And I’m not sure it’s all fighting, If she comes swimming out from behind the bushes smoking a cigarette, it might be something else.
