    That used to be only an occasional fall back for presidents. This year at least it seems to be a substitute for actually making and sticking to decisions

    Believing in your own propaganda usually leads to your own demise. Trump is delusional and Congress is delusional if they think we’ll overlook their inactivity.

    Modesty is not a very productive quality in a person who wants to have a position as powerful as the presidency and requires the approval of voters to get it. If a candidate honestly stated " This is a job that can’t be adequately performed by any moral being, but vote for me anyway", I don’t think he’d make it through the primaries. In order to inspire the confidence of the voters, a candidate needs to believe they are the best person for the job—which considering the alternatives has to actually be true for one of them.

    I didn’t intend that to say " no moral being". It was supposed to be no “Mortal being”, but it’s I kind of like it with the mistake.
