Used to be dogs were walked in early am or early evening, and we rarely saw them. Now they show up any time the weather is good, and are fun to watch. Also get a chance to know more neighbors – from a distance – but still it’s a connection. The times they are a-changin.

It’s why I walk at 5 AM – easy to social distance at that time. People aren’t very sociable at that hour of the morning.

My walks are timed so that I’m getting home about sunrise
I’m not wearing a mask so I go well out of my way if need be to avoid the few people I see
