For me, my phone is a device that I use to log into various accounts on my computer.
I receive and make about two phone calls a week. I get confirmation messages about medical appointments about once a month. The other 20 messages I get per day are two-part authentication codes.
I do not use my phone to look up things or play games or even to communicate with other people. I don’t need to be that “plugged in.” The gene that causes FOMO is dormant in me.

As bad in some ways as the measles, but you get over that eventually.

Dogs are “reading” their messages all the time, too. Only fair.
