As good a name as any for lots of what is called Abstract Art. Might be better called Distraction Art in some cases.
Visited the kinda interesting Hirschhorn Gallery in DC. Saw a 6’wx8’h apparently solid black ‘painting.’ Nothing visible – just black. Next to it there was an entry to the next gallery entry, and, as I started to pass thru, the light from a window brought out that there was some kind of b-on-b geometric design that was only visible via side light. Caught my eye and I almost hit the door jamb. The title plaque said 117. 116 tries to produce a painting that was so obscure one had to stand at one side in the right light to see it. True art.
But, then, there’s a lot of modern art [and some modern symphonic music] that has the effect of walking into a door jamb in the dark, so, if that was its purpose, it worked.
Since starting wearing a mask in March of 2020 when outdoors or in any gathering of two or more I have not suffered an allergy attacks, colds, flu, bronchitis or any respiratory ailments. I plan to continue that practice for a few more years.

The artist sneezed while painting. Look at it a thought why not.

Thanks for the perfect excuse: That’s not the line I meant to paint, I sneezed.

I suppose it’s hard to be an artist and try to come up with something new and different.
