The problems with Star Trek: Deep Space 9 were 1. the relatively static setting and 2. the metaphysical hocus-pocus into which the show eventually descended. That said, I would probably have been just as snookered by a “temporal phase diode” as was Monty. By which I mean I am thirsty for some drinkie now, like Monty….
