I really “similar to” this comic strip.

I find myself saying “like” a lot too. If people don’t like it, tough.

Just don’t change “like” to “so”.

“See what I’m sayin’.” or Ya feel me? My favorite is just plain UMM.

So, I find it annoying when people start a sentence with “So”.

Words like “like”, “so”, “um”, “ah”, “you know”, etc. are called temporizing — things to occupy the time it takes for your brain to catch up with your mouth without losing your center-of-attention spot in the conversation.

I used to say “Ya know?” a LOT when I was younger. I was telling my mom about an original Star Trek episode I liked and every time I said “Ya know?” she said, “No, I don’t know”. By the time I was done with the story, the habit was broken. My mom was (and still is) pretty wise. :o)

He just needed to remove all the “valley girl” code.

By actually working on his resolution, E.B. is setting an unobtainable standard for Monty (and all the rest of us procrastinators).

Still, I do similar to it….
