I’ll get back to the story Teusday. Don’t want to do it today/. Got to go in for a “cardio conversion” in which they zap me. Means those things you’ve seen them use on TV.to kick start their heart.. A “conversion” is like like that, only the paddles are smaller and one goes on your chest and the other im on your back. And I get a jolt of electricity. They knock me out while they’re doing it. Then iI wake up. get the residual mist out of my head, call a cab and come home. Got to be there at 9:00 AM Monday, two hours before the proceedure. No food or drink, axcept some sips of water after midniight on SundayI have been promised a lunch afterward. hope so. cause I’ll gonna be H-N-U-N-G-RyY!! :-))

Good morning Slim. I did catch your late post yesterday. Your stories of the mill bring up images of the old lumber mill in my home town in Oregon. My Dad was one of the engineers on the project to build it the year I was born, but I remember taking tours of it both when I was a young teen and as an adult a year or so before they gutted it to make an Indian casino out of it. (It outlasted its design specs by a good 15 years – I think I remember it was designed to last 30 years and it was still going strong after 45.) Anyway, I remember enough that I recognize the terminology and imagery you are using and can almost see what happened. By the way, the casino in the old mill building is called (are you ready?) “The Mill”.

Good luck on your test Monday. We will all be praying for you.

And good morning to all of my Vagabondish friends.

Good morning Village..May God bless you tomorrow Slim..The closest to sawmill work I ever got was the Ethan Allen lumber yard in Orleans, about 15 miles to the north. They processed lumber bought from sawmills, grading, stacking, drying. They have 9 100ft dry kilns for drying lumber. (that’s a lot of wood). We have a sunny Sunday going on here, local TV calls for temps in the 80’s. (first time this year).May God bless all my vagabond friends, and may you all have a wonderful day..ttfn

Good morning, Villagers. This is an email I just received from David:

Hello Arye, I found your email in my junk folder after I saw in the comics forum that you had tried to contact me. I have no idea why it went to the junk folder. Thank you for your concern, and please tell everyone in Beniten y Eneas how much I appreciate them all. No, I’m not at Conference, that won’t be for 2 or 3 weeks, in June. I’ve been having computer problems. First my modem went down. I mean kerplooey. So I had to get a brand new one. Now I’ve still got problems. Some kind of malware or something that’s making my computer go real real slow. It makes reading the comics very tedious. Sometimes my computer will seize up while loading one particular comic. So I won’t be posting any comments for a few days yet. Tell everyone Hi for me and they’ll see me when I get back in my routine. Thanks, David

    Good Morning, Vagabonds,

Slim, you will be in our prayers tomorrow. At least you will be able to sleep during the procedure! And, yes, I did read your late post. Loved how you handled that “Bully”!!!

Good to hear from David. Thanks, Arye! As Jan said a few weeks ago, this comic family sure takes care of each other!
