Good morning, Villagers. David, I’m glad your house is coming along.
I received the 5-set DVDs of “Game of Thrones.” This kind of fantasy with all its spectacle appeals to me. It seems to be set in another dimension in a medieval-like era. My self-published book, “The promise of Bisibi” is something like this, but not as specatacular (wish it were). You can read an excerpt of it from the back cover of “The Promise of Bisibi” by going to Facebook, which is Arye Barkai.
@Montana LadyI tried to post something about Clint Eastwood yesterday, but it disappeared…maybe I neglected to hit Submit. So I’m giving it another try…In looking at Eastwood’s filmography on IMDB, I saw that he made an uncredited appearance in a 1955 movie titled, Lady Godiva of Coventry. I have never heard of this film, but Maureen O’Hara plays Godiva and Amazon has copies for sale in both VHS and DVD formats. It might be fun to watch this and try to catch a young Clint’s uncredited appearance. :-) Now I AM going to hit Submit!
Rita, my favorite Clint Eastwood movie is “Paint Your Wagon”. Where else can you find both Eastwood and Lee Marvin singing? Besides, one of my all-time favorite songs is from that movie – “They Call the Wind Mariah”.
Good Morning Everyone..I’ll repeat my answer from yesterday: “Space Cowboys” with “Dirty Harry” being a close second. :).David, I was amazed at how relaxed I was after I retired and how easy it became for me to fall asleep quickly and for a full 8 hours. .
You all have listed many of my Clint Eastwood favorites! I guess my all time fav is Paint Your Wagon! It was the first video we ever bought, and cost 70.00!!!! Whoa!!!!!
It’s fun also to listen for his music on the films. Some is uncredited, but you’ll know his style when you hear it. Very soft, guitars or piano, and really good! Like I said, he is very talented!
Pouring rain today at the lake, kind of stuck inside..
@ Florchi, when the list of posters gets to a certain point, the other post are there but on another page so to speak. If you look at yesterdays post at the bottom it will say “refresh list”or something like that , click on it and you will see your post is there and you didn’t “forget to hit submit”
