I much prefer Rugby!

The main reason soccer isn’t big in America is that Americans don’t have the attention span to go 45 minutes without a commercial break. Also, the United States Men’s National Team sucks.

The main reason football isn’t big in American is because of American football.

And then there is Title IX, which requires schools spend as much on girls sports as boys. Since most “girls” sports aren’t as expensive as American football, this is difficult to do for many school districts. So along comes soccer/football, which ends up being a “girls” sport because the adult males all push the boys into American football. We’ll never see an American men’s football team win the World Cup. Unless we buy players from other countries.
