I’ve been waiting for a strip with Sluggo or Nancy walking beside a brick building.

In today’s strip, the way Bushmiller handled Sluggo’s presence is by having a kind of corsage of patterned bricks, surround Sluggo in panels 2, 3, and 4.

The vacant wall space around the character becomes some kind of glow, or radiance of the character, in this case, Sluggo, shining on a brick wall.

The first thing to do to beautify the city is to tear down those d@mn pontificating signs!!

I hope you can see where you’re going, Sluggo!

A few more people should do that.

It’s just a dirty window…

I’ve seen worse, Sluggo.

Leave town instead.

I find it rather ridiculous that a disclaimer is posted at the top of the comments in the “About” in regard to this classic comic strip. The same disclaimer is posted above the “About” in regard to the “Bozo” strip. Neither cartoonist/creator, who knew each other, had a trace of bigotry within them. The disclaimer suggests the contrary possibility. Seems the editors at GoComics are considerably more sensitive in that area than the average follower of the strips.

I like it because it shows movement of the characters. Not 4 panels of eye rolls, and thought bubbles.

That’s what the Arabs have their women do…

The goils didn’t seem to mind.
