Now that Nancy and Sluggo have disappeared and Aunt Fritz has become a political cartoon, I am on the verge of opting out of this website. Enough is enough. Classic comics are sacred, not to be violated by poser artists who abuse the copyright they somehow finagled. Please bring back the simplicity and authenticity of Nancy!

Some politically oriented people are hypersensitive about any mention at all of the economy. Can’t imagine why.

Amen 8ball. That said, did Guy go on vacation? Fritzi three days in a row at the typewriter suggests to me that he is on a beach in Hawaii.

I’m not in Hawaii…I’m at the drawing board. Fritzi does have a job, and it is as a free lance writer. I try to please everyone as much as I can with the comic strip that is near and dear to me, and I have since 1995. Every strip won’t please every reader. After 3 decades in newspapers with all the strips I’ve written…that;s a given. Thanks for following me.

I’ve written some business-related nursery rhymes. Here’s one from a couple years ago: Mary Lou Smith had a great wish to open a candy store; She ate all the snacks, and got really fat, and then she was very poor.

Your poetry is fun, your prayers (both from Fritzi and Nancy) frequently echo mine. I love poor orphaned Sluggo, and wonder how he’s ditched Child Protective Services for so long — more power to him! Thank you, for all your wonderful strips.

With her looks, Aunt Frtizi can write all the bad poetry she wants.

The old woman from the shoe bought all her children EVERYTHING on credit. And that’s why she was so in debt.

Personally, I thought that was kind of funny. Maybe not a LOL, but certainly made me smile.

Guy: I have been reading this strip since 1958 and have always loved it. Your work is excellent and you vary the characters so that the story is not lopsided towards just one character. Keep up the great work you are doing.!.Peggy: Bye.

?What does aunt Fritzi do? Has she got any friends or a boyfriend? She has been an enigma to me since I was a kid. She seems to be pretty lonely to me.
