Q: Who was the leader of the Mongols?

A: A stinky booger brained boy…I wonder if Atilla would appreciate that?

Danae usually frightens me (how much I should worry for being frightened by a comic character is beside the point), but today she hits the nail on the head: almost all atrocities in history and almost all acts of stupidity have been and are being committed by (stupid, violent, fanatic) men.

Only because they’ve usually been the ones in charge. When women have been in power, they’ve shown themselves to be every bit as capable of greed, cruelty, and general stupidity as men. The problem is human nature, not the presence of a Y chromosome.

Yo Dogsniff. Yes, it is obvious. The Stinky Booger-Brained Boys have with general success been able to keep women repressed regardless of their intellect or abilities. It is a power thing much more than “men being better at leading.” And in case anyone is wondering, I am one of those stinky booger-brained boys.

You can tell who’s married and who has kids around here….Danae would indeed make the election easier except some news channel would add, “Deluded” to the description of the “other guy” and we’re right back where we started.

but Ronald Reagan was a SBBB too! re:

“We are a Christian nation founded on Christian principles. The way I evaluate history textbooks is first I see how they cover Christianity and Israel. Then I see how they treat Ronald Reagan – he needs to get credit for saving the world from communism and for the good economy over the last 20 years because he lowered taxes.” – Dr. Don McLeroy, chairman of the Texas Board of Education, which recently approved a controversial new school curriculum

The Bushes had already “happened to America” in more ways than most folks know about.

Danae probably already has her own collection of SBB snowboys and putting her up against Calvin would be nothing less than a riot!

Danae (read: my fellow humans), when will you learn from your past mistakes? Oh. That’d be NEVER! Chew on this: a cockroach learns not to repeat the same mistake twice. So is “Danae” really dumber than an insect? SURVEY SAYS…yes. But who needs intelligence when you have self-delusion?

Strangely I now can’t get the picture of a pot and a kettle out of my mind.

Let us not forget the quintessential airhead of all time, Queen Antoinnette. She was wife to King Louis XIV of France. Her contribution was only to start the French revolution with comments like, but not only, “Let them eat cake.” She said this when told the peasants had no bread to eat. This was truly the epitome of self-absorption. King Louis did whatever she said without question. Both lost their heads, literally, on the guillotine.

HighPriest - do cockroaches only repeat the same mistake ONCE? If it was a mistake the first time, would they be around to repeat it at all?

Roaches actually seem to learn from each other (they are a nesting insect) and what kills one just teaches the others an object lesson. It makes the survivors smarter, hardier, and more tenacious. That’s why you have to kill all of them at once or they just keep coming back. Plus roaches are not the easiest bug to kill save with a really big boot–and then the survivors of the colony just learn to avoid the boot, to boot! Pun intended.
