It’s why we say our dog is number ONE of three in this household!

Don’t be silly… everyone knows you can’t own a cat. The cat owns you! The cat knows it! Just ask mine… wait, he’s asleep on the heated blanket, better not disturb him now…

Well, considering who’s picking up whos poo, I’d say this is a rather accurate description.

OTOH my dogs are not in doubt that I’m in charge. Much, MUCH easier that way. Dogs don’t understand lorries and busses which can get very messy.

Dogs are fine with being the underling and following your rules - as long as they know what the rules are.

A fine example of why you should never get married.

I know my neighbors respect me when at 10PM I’m standing in plaid slippers with a 8 lb dog on a leash in one hand and a plastic bag in the other. They know who wears the pants in my family. Coming Dear.

Better this guy than the one who let’s his three or four huge mutts loose to “doo the deed” on all the neighbors’ lawns so he doesn’t have to clean up after the mutts he ignores except for three days a year. My dog gets me out daily for a healthy walk, and I pick up after him to spare those same neighbors. Hmm now if - I - peed on the hydrants and dropped the doo, what would the neighbors do?

I have four cats, but before that I was owned by an Arabian horse. So much for species supremacy. But I have to repeat this: Dogs have owners, cats have staff.

At least the therapist (remember, you can’t spell “therapist” without “the rapist”) didn’t make him dress up as the fire hydrant…

My cat is an alpha female, and fights with any other cat she encounters. So I have one cat.

She is pretty good most of the time especially during the day. (notice the modifiers)

^ Radish, I wish I knew how to send a gif of a cat doing just that on cheezburger! funny!

So true about cats – tho I once had a cat that would walk on a leash – for a short distance. I also know the picture you are referring to with the middle claw.

@Rockngolfer, Sounds like my girl. We lost her on news years eve. She was a tortie and looked a lot like your avatar. Our two toms showed her great respect and kept their distance. Except on occasion the oldest one would rebel, but always back down. I think he misses her as much as we do.
