Danae: Help me test my arguing skills, Kate... tell me something you think is absolutely true. Kate: Sigh. Water only flowing downhill. Danae: OK... when we travel somewhere north of us, we say we're going up there, right? Kate: Uh... right. So? Danae: So... the Nile river flows north. Which means it's going uphill! Kate: No, that does not mean... Danae: Too late! Under the spin ninja rules of combat, I won when you paused to think.

She can redefine everything to fit her own bias view. Truth doesn’t matter. She will be a cracker-jack politician.

A sign that Danae would be a Republican working for Fix News in real life.

When Danae grows up, she’ll either be a politician (party doesn’t matter since the functional dynamics are the same) or a climate change scientist.

It’s as flat as a billiard table, if Danae wants it to be. Her game, her rules.

ER, Danae. Down East we have a waterfall that falls one way in the morning and the other in the afternoon. Course we have a fifty foor tide.

Gee, I thought Danae would had used the example of a syphon hose, wherein the water must first flow uphill first before it goes down…

Danae does demonstrate the average American’s grasp of “science” as politically malleable. Stopping to think IS regarded by them as the most dangerous step.

We’ve got a river like that on the edge of East Dakota with Minnesota. Floods nearly every Spring, since the southern end starts melting before the northern end does. Someone got the plumbing backwards!

Miller makes good a point – people got stumped on lame one-liners – partly cuz they’re so lame – except in real life, there are too many people who stick with the lame one-liner.

@ rayannina: Danae has childish naïveté to fall back on as an excuse. Talib-Anne doesn’t.
