Woman: *Tsk* What's the meaning of such a rude sign, little girl? Danae: The world needs a time-out from the noise in people's heads that oozes out of their dopey mouths... now please honor the sanctity of the zone. Woman: Is it okay if I text everyone I know to come over and join us? Danae: As long as you do it quietly. Lucy: Shhh...

An unexpected developement. I actually like this idea of Danae’s. My ex used to tell me that I was leaving home and deserting her when I just wanted to alone with my thoughts. This idea has merits, although rudely named.

Each person can make their own zone. Everyone can go around in their own little bubble. Oh wait.

“I used to think the “Shut up and mind your own stupid business zone” was called a Library…”: Hahahahahaaaa!!

Where have you been? They are now called Learning Resource Centers. And older books, and those hardly checked out, are sold at book sales. I once rescued several humor collections from writers of the 1930s thru 1950s. Multi-media collections and equipment had crowded them out. Get with it, guy! .I’m suddenly reminded of the Bradbury stories “Usher II” and FARHRENHEIT 451. I know, I know … the books are digitized and are available somewhere. But it’s not the same…

yes i agree…..but it’s good to know sometimes that people around you care enough to give a comment. Nothing worse than being forgotten!!!

Imagine if they shut down the comments for a few days so no one would be able to post diatribes.

“A family participated in a reality show (Britain) about living life of 1885 for six months”That might have been the show I saw – loved it. The mother did have her problems with having to wear such a tight corset that she like to passed out, and she had to scrub her hands raw with the ashes or whatever they used to wash clothes. I believe there was a closet where the teenagers could kvetch privately into the camera . . . great reality show.

Banning the text messaging devices seems like a necessary first step to stopping the flow of noise from people’s heads.
