Then there’s this version, I think from Mad Magazine, but I’m not sure:I think that I shall never hearA poem as lovely as a beer. The stuff that Joe’s Bar has on tap,With golden base and snowy cap.The stuff that I can drink all dayUntil my mem’ry melts away.Poems are made by fools, I fear,But only Schlitz can make a beer.
Better then what I could, I remember back decades ago, we had to do poetry, went over my head.I wished Arcamax not dropped Disqus and went to fb, I also cannot get on Seatle PI comics no OBH, or post on Washington Post for comics, Creator’s I never could find for comments. I enjoy reading the comments for each strip.

Your mother and I on our first date. She made me so happy when she said it was great!

My first poem, when my wife was not yet my wife… it let her know that I was “The one”. She was raised in Washington State.
A snow covered mountain, a grass covered hill
the beauty of these, I’ve had my fill
their beauty does, by comparison fade
to you my darling, who I wanna get laid.
Her friends said, “don’t marry him, he’s a perv”. I didn’t find out until after we were married, she happens to be a perv too.

I’d have to fit central air-conditioning into that list.

And there’s this one.
I think that I shall never see
A billboard lovely as a tree.
Perhaps, unless the billboards fall,
I’ll never see a tree at all.
