In this ‘war’: i am rooting 100% for the poor kitty. She (or he) are sitting under the car minding her (or his) own business, and instead of the grown ups trying to find help her, in case the car moves, they, and the very aggressive kids are scaring the kitty big time. So, we have aggressive ‘kids’ trying to scare the poor kitty just for fun.
The grown ups should be ashamed of themselves.
Hmm! Where did i see this scenario before? The powerful ones scare and attack the helpless ones for no reason whatsoever :-(
And NO, i do not find this particular arc of the comic entertaining or funny.
Kitty is more scared than evil. I hope someone does catch her and take her to a rescue group. NO pound unless it’s no-kill. Yes, it may be “just a comic”, but this happens in real life. Our late Pepper was feral, born on our back porch. Our niece had me catch him (OUCH!) and she carried him around in a small quilted purse for 2 weeks, letting him out in her room. We had him from 2009 til June this year.. he passed two days after my birthday :(
We tried to tame his sister, but she refused, earning the name Hissyfit Hellcat when hubs caught her so we could get her spayed. She’d already had one litter, leaving two of her kittens in the dog bed on the back porch. I swear she told them to stay, easiest kitten capture ever! We found them good homes. Anyways, he had her cornered in the bathroom, she was on top of the cabinet. He swears she tried to projectile poo at him! Eventually we got her in, she was spayed, had shots, and chipped. And left our yard only touching the ground once in the front yard.. LOL! We saw her hanging about with her furdaddy, who we’d also had neutered.
The little tuxedo boy in my photo is our boy Sultan, who actually hung around our house most of his life. Little stinker actually never ran, he sauntered off! Pepper told me to look at the pound page (yes, I know some won’t believe me, but he did). Long story short, we adopted Sultan, and the first night we had him, he rolled over for belly rubs and was purring! He knew he belonged here. The white girl is Mum’s kitty, Sheba. We also adopted her, but from a foster. They finally decided to work together instead of against each other.. LOL!
Yes, sorry, long post, but it worries me that people will get in their heads that it’s ok to hurt strays. Too many are euthanized each month, and ones that have people who let them outside can be hurt or hurt native wildlife. Thank goodness we have a lot of rescue groups for such a small town, and individuals do what they can for cats and dogs as well

their “defense strategy” seems to involve a good deal of offense.

Obviously there is not a time limit on how long you can park a car without moving it in that neighborhood.

Try food. Food usually works with cats.
