Ruthie, be glad you weren’t asked to recite the poem they were going to have me do at my piano recital. “The dollar and the cent, rolling down the sidewalk they went….” Luckily I came down with a stomach bug the day of the recital and didn’t have to subject myself to that humiliation. I was never so happy to be sick.
