We always get attacked by our love machines when we get home, but my favorite thing is seeing the sillouette of their ears in the door window, waiting for us as we pull up to the house.
The “Welcome home, we missed you” ears! love them! <3. :D
Our mini-poodle won’t go outside for me unless I’m coming home from work (retired a year now), so I close the front door, sit on the porch for ten minutes or so, then arrive home. She trots right outside.
Wow, can Nate put on a lot of pounds when he is buying apples and limes. (are those apples or tomatoes?) Guess maybe he is eating the pizzas on shore before he rows to the ship.
Our big German Shepherd wants to take us by the arm and lead us around the house. We tell him to “go find a toy” and that takes care of the urge to grab our arm, but he still circles around and around as if to say, “see, I made sure everything is just as you left it, but boy am I glad you are home and I can relax now”.

When I walk in, no matter how long I’ve been gone, I get hugged and kissed by the dog. Then I can greet my husband :D
