Still 100 degrees here…maybe this weekend. Dog is still on top of the covers…

Our dog has her own blanket and is snug as a bug in a rug during winter. She has not needed it yet. But winters in northern Ontario are c-c-c-c-c-c-c-c-cold! She’ll be using it for sure when the temperature starts dropping significantly.

Not ready to do that yet here. I’ll give it another month.

Yes. My cat has become extremely friendly and snuggly again at night.

Happiness is having a Lab in our family.

Still summer temperatures where I live.

My dog is an idiot. We’re still getting temps as high as 90, and he burrows into his sleeping bag in the middle of the day.

I started using the flannel sheets on the bed two weeks ago

Henry’s hair reminds us of the old ads…..which twin had the Toni. Think Henry did.

I mark fall with (once again) using the electric blanket for about 15 minutes, just enough to warm my tootsies before I drift off.

There have been a few quilt nights already. It feels so good to snuggle in and get cozy.

My cats have electrically heated beds but they are not as warm as I am on the cool nights.

According to my phone, it’s 81 F here at 41 N Latitude, 6500 ft. altitude on October 8. Cooler in my basement.

60 degrees this morning along the Sacramento River when I got up and I just about turned on the heat. 60° is a lot colder now than it used to be when I was younger…

Autumn isn’t bad in my book, though it previews the descent into winter … ugh. At least jackets and blankets keep me warm. Still, where’s a good Louie when I need him?
