My wife was having some health issues and she decided to put up our tree at the end of October, 2021. She had been discouraged and the lights helped cheer her up. She decided that she wanted to keep it up a little longer. To make a long story short that little tree, a table top tree, never was put away. It’s still up. I am not sure when we will pack it away. But that little tree, no matter what time of the year, continues to bring a little joy and encouragement to my wife. I don’t mind it being up. I’d rather remove it soon after Christmas but that’s okay… :-)
There is a family restaurant near me that has a Christmas Tree in the lobby as you enter the front door. It’s up year round, and frankly, I like to see it in July.
Just curious — Why the rush (by some) to take the tree down so soon? Lack of room I can understand. But is there an 11th Commandment or a new Amendment to the Constitution I haven’t heard about? Like I said, just wondering.
Our Christmas tree and decorations came down a couple of days ago. I love having it up, but I love having my house back to normal as well. ;) And since I’m basically the only who even does it, I get to choose when it comes up and when it comes down! Just like, since I do the cooking, I get to lick the beaters! haha! ;D

The rabbits won’t be happy with your bunny slippers. Not at all.

We are in the Sixth Day of Christmas, for me six more days is perfectly acceptable.

“Christmas is so good, we should celebrate it twice per year” (paraphrased from F. Bear).

Thinking of leaving our lights up inside when I take the tree down. We’ve had a few deaths this year and I think a little cheer would help.
