Was in the Lion House at Lincoln Park Zoo once shortly before feeding time when an adult male lion decided to let loose. His face was pointed at the floor of his cage; the reverberating roar was so intense that it made you you want to vacate the vicinity PRONTO. I can only imagine what a real mega lizard would sound like, but I heartily associate with our treed friends.

Latest theory says they couldn’t roar. I don’t like theories like that.

Never understood that need to make predators roar before charging. When you look at animal shows no predator warns its prey before attacking.

Did his roar sound like the T-Rex from “Jurassic Park”?

What are friends for if not to prey on.

I wonder if the neighbors next door saw the boy that mows their lawn in the dinosaur suit saw George chase them up the tree.

Shouldn’t there be a pile of raccoon and turtle scat at the bottom of the tree?
