OK; I’m guessing NO one else will sympathize with my gripe. But…in the left hand music — Bass Clef — we’re shown the key of Bb: B flat and E flat. But on the right hand part — Treble Clef — we see a key signature with an Ab and Eb — something that would never appear in any sort of musical notation.
In his later years I’m pretty sure Schulz paid closer attention to this sort of stuff.
Okay, how many people went to YouTube and searched for something like “Beethoven on Accordion”?
I did, and came up with videos supposedly featuring pieces by Beethoven, Bach, and Vivaldi done on the accordion. But I didn’t play any of them. Too early.

Then Schroeder becomes the Incredible Hulk, almost a decade before the character first appeared.

So the thought of polka music mad Schroeder nauseous?

I agree with @bookworm0812’s buried comment. Green is generally the color for envy, not anger. That’s usually red.

Never saw this one reprinted in a paperback. Guess the joke is lost when the color is removed.

I always thought green had to do with envy.

Love the first panel, with Schroeder facing Beethoven.

Even his blond hair turned green. That’s quite a reaction!
