I’m unfamiliar with the rules of croquet. Did Charlie Brown do something wrong, or did he do something Patty didn’t like? Was it her turn? He’s hitting his ball again, so that can’t be it.

Yet, when Patty gets ready to send Charlie Brown’s flying, he has to stand there and take it.

According to my calculations, there are 37 Monday through Saturday strips left before the first Sunday strip, which ran on January 6, 1952. So unless GoComics makes some kind of adjustment, the first Sunday strip should appear here on Peanuts Begins on December 6, 2024. However, GC has made adjustments in the past. Once they ran a series of Sunday strips in a row before re-starting Peanuts Begins from the first strip.

Our family rule was you couldn’t “send” a ball. It caused really hurt feelings. Just like the game “Sorry”

I used to play croquet with my grandparents when we went over for Sunday dinner back about 60 years ago. My grandmother was a total cutthroat and whack anyone’s ball away, haha! We all were cutthroats actually, but we sure had fun! I sure miss those days.

I am quite disappointed in Patty’s response. I find it sexist and uncalled for. She needs to check her privilege. I do not care if she is a kid! My kids will not be reading Peanuts Begins in this household any longer!!!
