Anyone else remembering when Marcie was the one who believed Linus about the Great Pumpkin and her parents had her deprogrammed?

Um… I think this is from the time when we were first MEETING Peppermint Patty.

Yes, Peppermint Patty had recently joined Peanuts at the time, so no fear of “Chuck” wanting to “beat Linus up”for Linus’ getting together with PP. Anyway, as all Peanuts fans know, Charlie Brown liked the little red-haired girl, and thus,PEPPERMINT PATTY would be the one to get jealous.

To add to my first comment, on the Peanuts serial strip from Halloween 1977, where Marcie’s folks have her deprogrammed, for believing in Halloween’s answer to Santa Claus—really, I really think Linus talked like “a mad scientist, or like someone who just got hit on the head,”—A STARK RAVING NUT, as Violet had put it, from 1961, or thereabouts, shortly after Linus’ Great Pumpkin fixation began. Really, deprogramming would definitely be in order, for someone who has just been so terribly brainwashed, so as to believe such a mad tale.

Why is Peppermint Patty yellow in panel 3?

Just wait until halloweemn and you’ll knoe the consequences about believe in the Great Pumpkin.

Poor Linus keeps waitin’ in the wrong one…

Unbelievable.

Well, yeah, she believes him but she didn’t hear a word he said just like she doesn’t see that the weird kid is a DOG.

That’s right, PP, tell them what they want to hear and they leave you alone.

I wonder if Linus believes in Santa Claus.

The closest Linus ever came to the so-called Great Pumpkin was seeing a used beagle. (LOL!)

I can see Linus passing out literature on the Great Pumpkin — a little girl tossing it aside… “Ehh!” and walks away.Linus says “We prophets have a hard life!”

Whoa! Peppermint Patty ACTUALLY believes Linus? Guess that explains the flying pig that just flew past my window.

So Spearmint switched love interest from Linux to Brown Charlie

I don’t know if it’ll be shown but in one strip Peppermint Patty asked the Great Pumpkin for a new baseball glove and Linus went berserk “you asked the Great Pumpkin for a baseball glove???!!!!” " what do you think he is, Santa Claus???!!!!!!"

How is that relevant at all?

And, Patty, if you look up on the ceiling, you will see the word, “Gullible.”
