I hear you, CB. For years I was far too quick to take the criticisms of others to heart. Then I realised that they often talk without even listening to themselves, so why should I? They wouldn’t change their ways for me. And a lot of people just say whatever drifts through their minds at a given moment, and don’t even remember they said it.
Don’t worry, Charlie. 4000 years is only the equivalent of about 23 minutes in geologic time. Getting thrown around by waves or little boys is just part of a day in the life of a stone.
I went to my interview today but we were told that the apprenticeship had been withdrawn. We were still asked a couple of interview questions and our answers were written down and we were told that we would be contacted if anything comes up in the future.
I guess it wasn’t a complete waste of time but it’s still a shame. Never mind.
I just want to thank you both so much for your support and encouragement!
