Actually, they were Prince Michael I, Paris, and Prince Michael II; “Blanket” came from the media.

Oh, and @JPuzzleWhiz, “Dweezil” was a nickname as well; his real name, I believe, was Ian. He voluntarily changed it, himself.

“Snoopy’s Squad,” of course, is a play on “Arnie’s Army,” the fans who followed Arnold Palmer at PGA events.

Years later, of course, Snoopy would play golf on actual courses, with Charlie Brown as his caddy. Those could be funny, but weren’t the classics of Snoopy’s own imagination.
