Yes, Freida used to carry her cat, Faron, draped over her arms. There was a continuity once in which she stuck one of the other kids with the cat, and then they began to trade him off.
Ah yes. Frieda and the “boneless” cat..@Jane: Yes, but National Cat Day only started in 2005. I’m not sure what (if any) real-world event Shulz is referring to in this strip.
Could somebody please post the panel of SNOOPY forced to hold the legendary boneless cat? (Most appearances of Frieda had her either bragging about her naturally curly hair or trying to get Snoopy to chase rabbits. Not much to her, really.)

why should a dog give a darn about National Cat Week?

Frieda had a cat Faron but was not shown much because Charles Schulz was bad at drawing cats.

I remember Snoopy thinking, after seeing Frieda holding Faron, “They’ve finally developed a boneless cat.”

I’ve never thought Faron looked that bad, but apparently Schulz was never happy with his look.

The WWII cat next door was a pretty good adversary for Snoopy.

Charles Schulz likely wouldn’t pay the outrageous appearance fees the cat’s agent demanded…

Yes, October 29 is indeed National Cat Day.
So this is the day cats parade their servants around the neighborhood?
