this will be quite a hearing
It’s John Doe for anonymous males, Jane Roe for females. Thus, Roe v. Wade, for example.
If that’s your biggest worry Snoopy, everything will be all right!
The legal beagle is really working hard on this case!
where is the world-famous legal assistant Woodstock?
Well, Snoopy Esq., just call ’em all Jakes and Dicks, and sometimes you might be right.
anyone know when this originally ran? I’m just trying to put it in context.
‘Richard Roe’ is actually the name used when a case has two male parties whose true names are unknown, in addition to ‘John Doe.’ Thus, Snoopy’s confusion makes some sense (except it wouldn’t apply at all to Peppermint Patty’s situation).
Thanks for another good panel Mr. Schultz!
“Piggy”? I’m a 70s child and don’t recall that slang.
It’s easy. You may not be able to tell a John from a Jack, but Richard is a Dick. Ha!
She should have called the ACLU
It’s hard to get Mr. Doe to pay his monthly invoices.
What is the difference between JOHN DOE and RICHARD ROE?
It’s Patty Poe, great-great-great-granddaughter of the great 19-th century writer.
