Charlie Brown, in the second frame, your eyebrows slipped down, and they only partially recovered by the fourth. (Yeah, yeah, drawing perspective in newspaper comics wasn’t yet done then.)
“Recovering from that awful accident took months of bed rest. From her bedroom window Helen loved watching the bunnie-wunnies playing. She picked up her pen and, in a little notebook now on display at the Morgan Library, wrote the first of her now classic stories, complete with her own inimitable drawings: ‘The Six Bunnie-Wunnies and the Female Vererinarian.’ She had found her calling.”
“It was a dark and stormy night; the rain fell in torrents – except at occasional intervals, when it was checked by a violent gust of wind which swept up the streets, rattling along the housetops, and fiercely agitating the scanty flame of the lamps that struggled against the darkness.”
She had to leave the prom early, go home in the rain on her old pickup truck, load up all the hound dogs, and go get her mamma out of prison! Getting stuck on the railroad tracks just made it more of a challenge.

What happens at small-town proms stays in small-town proms.
