Pearls Before Swine by Stephan Pastis for April 18, 2014
April 17, 2014

Transcript:
Goat: Do you ever worry about a global catastrophe that could leave us without a food supply? Pig: No. We have an emergency supply of cotton candy in our attic. Goat: That's insulation. Pig: There goes that plan.
Gee, Pig, did you figure out that the pink stringy stuff in the attic was cotton candy all on your own, or did Rat suggest it to you? Anyway, now that Goat has disillusioned you, maybe itâs time for a trip to your local bargain bulk food dealerâŠ.
ï»ż*Stephan Pastis* is off on a âWorld Tourâ to promote not one, not two, but TWO new books! âTimmy Failure: Now Look What Youâve Done,â and the latest âPearls Before Swineâ collection, âPearls Falls Fast.â We talk about life on the road, how he creates his successful âTimmyâ books, and how easy it is to get on the bad side of theme park attendees when you make them stand around and wait as you take photos on a popular rollercoaster for an hour.Tall Tale Radio http://www.gocomics.com/tall-tale-radio/2014/02/27
Well with the drought thinning cattle herds and the baby pigs dying like flies from some virus, all we need is a good bird flu and meat will be too expensive to buy. Civilization and food security is such a fragile thing thatâs best not thought about too long.
