I came back from university only to find that my mother had either sold or given my belongings to my little brother and made herself a “sewing” room. Decades later brother sitll has returned nothing.
My mom converted my old bedroom into her personal dressing room but that was years after I left. Also, I kept my door key for about 20 years until my mom finally told me they changed the locks about 10 years ago – not to keep me out but because all their kids had grown and left the house by then and there were so many of their keys “out in the wild” that they wanted to start over fresh.

As long as the washing machine is still there.

Of course, he’ll get everything back when it’s time to ship the parents off to the nursing home.

And don’t let the door hit ya, etc.

At least he didn’t catch his parents "doing it’. That’s right, your parents were “doing it” as well.

Why haven’t they changed the locks yet?

On the other hand, I know people who haven’t kicked their kids out yet in their mid-twenties.

My 21st birthday present to my kid was starting to charge rent. Of course it didn’t seem like a gift to him at the time.

If JoJo was only just now, in October, getting around to heading off for college, then you may rest assured, he would’ve flunked out anyway.

It took slightly longer than that for my mom to change everything… at least a week.

You’re better off in college, JoJo.
Sometimes family is just not worth it.

I wonder if JoJo ever DID Get Back??
Asharah about 7 years ago
They couldn’t just store his stuff in the basement? Not to mention most college kids still come home on the holidays.
Parents better hope they don’t need a live-in caregiver in their old age.

Pig is right. The parents were so slow! Jojo Junior’s key still worked!
But I do admire their Ruthlessness! It’s just their Jojo Juniorlessness that still needs some work….

If these were my parents, I’d have murdered them and buried them in the backyard.
