Phew! I thought I was going to have to wait until Monday to see what happened next!

Actually, I can understand Marigold’s logic, too . . . and I fully understand Phoebe’s point as well! ::grins::

It’s really great to see that neither of them are mean-spirited: Marigold, quite obviously, had no idea Dakota was going to freak out and be this upset. To her, zapping her “you-topper” was quite fair and just; tit-for-tat as it were.

And Phoebe is just as shocked. Instead of gloating that her rival and antagonizer was now bawling like a toddler and, even more fiendish, Dakota’s popularity was about to plummet like a rock, with her becoming a laughingstock . . .

Instead, she’s shocked and concerned on Dakota’s behalf.

Remember, the Shield of Boringness would assure the ‘perfect crime’ in this instance. Phoebe really could get away with Marigold turtle-waxing Dakota.

And here I thought Dana was going to pull her punches and do a cutesy little girl comic strip. Now I’m thinking more along the lines of Poltergeist.

Wait,… They were at Dakota’s house, and she’s running out and down the sidewalk looking like that? Boy, she really did freak out, didn’t she.Wait until she realizes…

I’m waiting for tomorrow’s strip where Phoebe and Marigold get slapped with child abuse charges and are sent up the river.

Given my non-magical, hornless horse’s propensity for trying to eat hair, I’m half-surprised Marigold isn’t trying to graze on Dakota’s.

On the other hand, my horse may just be odd.

It’ll grow back; hair follicules take male pattern baldness to destroy. Even electrolysis doesn’t work unless its hits the root dead center.

However,. a huge handful of greasy evidence is gonna be nothin but trouble, when some adult responds to the shrieking. RUN Phoebe! Better yet offer to swap the hair back for 10 pencil toppers and a rocky road ice cream cone.

p.s. Ath. you are seeing the fight/flight response. Fight didn’t work. Dak is running FROM danger point.

It’s gonna be real fun at Phoebe’s place if she finds her pencil topper merely fell off and was on the floor all the time.

While I can see Marigold’s logic, I still prefer having a me-topper to not having one.

With my sick-twisted sense of humor, I find this funny and awesome! Too bad Dakota was innocent.
