On the plus side, there’s only one thing left to glue it to, and it’s going to be hard for the ghost to take her hand with them.

Ghosts have no use for that other than to bother you perhaps feeding off of the emotions generated.

What was she going to do after she was finished? Throw the mitten away with the cup?

Now there is a born scientist. Observed a phenomena, and constructed an experiment to verify it.
