Will this maintenance errand be dull or magical? Or both?!

She probably needs some updates and a new alternator.

I’m reminded of a story (Too Many Magicians by Randall Garrett, I think) in which it’s pointed out that the best magical representation of a sharp knife is… a sharp knife. And that if you need to represent a dull knife, then you would use a dull knife.
