That’s not even a prank. That could easily be fixed.

It was not perfect, because Phoebe found out that it happened. And more to the point, Marigold already knew.

If Marigold is perfect, why is she wearing glasses?

Right or wrong, they’re on the only feet you have, Pheobe.

Wearing your shoes on the wrong feet, that has to at LEAST be a fashion crime.

Within the manga series Bakuman, there was a series called Perfect Crime Party, about a team of schoolkids pulling off these kinds of pranks.

Isaac Asimov wrote a short story, “The Acquisitive Chuckle,” about someone committing the perfect theft. The distinction between “theft” and “crime” is important….

If you want a spoiler, Wikipedia has a brief synopsis of the story.

Is the perfect crime actually that she got away with using a contraction in the second panel ?!

How can Phoebe’s shoes be on the wrong feet? They’re the only feet she has. See Linus in this Peanuts strip:

Marigold would get along pretty well with Perfect Cell.

DBZ Abridged Perfect Cell, to be precise.

It’s not even funny, but I gave it a LIKE for extreme cuteness.

I would argue the perfect crime is one that can’t be pinned on anybody (maybe not even as a suspect)…
