Another failed attempt by Earl to please Opal.

Why do wives even bother asking/letting their husbands to help around the house?

Earl wasn’t trying to please Opal. Just the opposite. He purposely did it wrong to get out of finishing the job. Pretty smart! That is why he was asking his son if he was taking notes.

I am so lucky to have never cared how the towels are folded.

Being fussy is its own punishment.

Says the woman…. sigh… who nonetheless re-washes every dish someone else “helped” with…(but without a word…. and after they go home.)

I guess we can’t all be perfect.

Ineptitude always triumphs over perfectionism.

That may be the most important lesson Earl can teach Nelson.

Like it would be so hard to fold them smaller so they fit in the closet better. Earl has passive-aggressive down to a science.

Pushing Opal’s buttons can land you sleeping on the couch.

But it just goes in one ear and out the other with Earl.

@abadaba. Doesn’t everyone? I don’t wash but rinse very very well !!!

has the comic author ever put in the real son/daughter (Nelson’s father/mother) into the strip? are they still around / alive?

Want to help? Nothing in the sink but the cup/glass you just used? Rinse it out. Spill a liquid? Paper towel it up AND throw the used towel in the garbage. Get it?
