No self-respecting cats, with their refined olfactory senses, would touch Earl’s socks. A dog like Roscoe, however, would roll on them and bury them in the back yard for future enjoyment.
My cats steal silverware! I don’t have any idea where it winds up but I’ve had to buy so many of those dollar packs from Wal-Mart, especially spoons. Some day someone somewhere is going to find a pile of like 50 spoons and go “waaah?”
So… I was able to teach my cat 11 commands, far more than the leg-biting, golden retriever next door, who knew no boundaries except where to leave his used Alpo… MY yard, of course…
My cat steals my stuffed animals at night and leaves them…wherever. I had a couple of collectors items, but I doubt anyone would buy them with cat spit all over them. She won’t have anything to do with the ones I buy for her.

I have seen cats sniff of a food offering, meditate momentarily, start scratching sand to bury the offering.a feline version of “what is this sht?”

My cat has hidden my car and house keys in the litter box. A cup of undiluted Clorox and a pair of rubber gloves whilst driving, and I was on my way.
