Well, Opal may be a knitter and crochet person but she apparently is not a diy crafter. There are tons of things she could do and make with that old tray!
I would certainly be interested in that tray if I found it at Good Will. Old and out of style would fit right in with the rest of the stuff in my house, and it’s getting harder and harder to find stuff that doesn’t look like it was made by IKEA.
That’s another reason why I try to stay on top of how to control the new HD TV, Cable television options, Multi-functional Refrigerator, and High Tech Dishwasher!
Having been raised by Depression era parents, and also growing up without a single luxury, it causes me great pain to see anybody throw out usable items. This seems out of character for Opal, too. It’s the young ones who never “did without” that toss good things in the trash without a twinge of regret.
