If it were a funny illustrated book, then you’d say its smell is comical.
If it were Science Fiction, the smell would be out of this world.
If it were a gardening book it might smell earthy.
Old books smell strange. Browsing though second hand book stores isn’t something I want to do very often.
The smell of a romantic novel is pheromonal.
I think it’s the stink of the ink.
It’s a mystery to me !
SERIOUSLY……… I think it’s time to turn the page.

Opal said yesterday it was a NEW book, so it wouldn’t have that musty old book smell…
Used books, of course, can smell anywhere in between.
The National Geographic and some other magazines had a lot of clay in the paper coating, to make it glossy and sturdy, so you can smell that too.
I love the smell of all of them, unless they’re really moldy.
And stationery, school supplies, crayons and most markers.
Ok, yeah, I know….. the first step is admitting you have a problem….
So … fiction, then?
