You need the strength to point out “when I said I was bored, it was my intention to find something that would make me less bored; all you ever offer me is stuff that’s more boring than sitting here doing nothing”.

I learned that lesson at a very young age.

This reminds me of early in my working life before I learned to enjoy coffee. The boss came in our break area and said, “Smigs, since you’re done with your coffee, here’s a job for you.” so began my love affair with the coffee machine.

We don’t have time left in this year to hear all your mistakes.

Young people aren’t interested in the mistakes you made, they always want to find out for themselves and make their own. Hence the age-old phrase – ‘I told you so’.

23 years in the Army, if nothing else, has taught me that.

As far as I am concerned Earl, you deserve a “medal” for putting up with her. As a women she annoys me to no end so I can’t imagine how a man puts up with her.
