My brother used to want letters when overseas but not interested in local events or national ones. Hard to please.

I read a relationship book last year. It mentioned one of the big differences between men and women regarding communication.

Women are social creatures in the way that they socialize by talking……a lot. To the point that they have a lot of difficulty sitting quietly with their husbands because it is unnatural for them.

Men are social creatures by way of doing things together. No always a lot of communication. Men will be quite content (emotionally) a lot of times just sitting quietly with their wives or girlfriends and knowing they are there. We don’t need the verbal communication.

Women will drive two hours and talk the entire way to their appointed place.

Men will drive the same two hours to the same place and say nary a word unless it is to get food or needing to relieve themselves.

Both genders will be fine with the way they do it, but have difficulty with the opposite gender’s way.

Rather interesting stuff.

I don’t recognize the voice, but the breath is familiar.

My wife asked me that the other day as I was getting up from the couch. I replied: No. That was my back making me groan.

This is a very accurate description of our house. My wife is the loquacious one in the family. She talks, no matter if anyone is listening. She is talking to me (?) at this very moment.
