just wait till you get old and your bones ache and you can’t see or hear as well as you used to when you have a hard time breathing then tell us about being crabby
I have noticed in comic strips and sitcoms on TV, the wives are always picking on the husband. The man is always the fool, and dunderhead. You know if it were reversed, and the men acted that way toward the wives, we would all be hearing about it.
When my parents were into and then pushing past middle age, I swear he was a lot like Archie Bunker and she was a little bit Edith in that she didn’t talk back to him 99.999% of the time.
Then they got old, he got a little mellow, and one day he nearly lost her to a brain aneurysm. He got REAL mellow after that, and so grateful to her being there, more affectionate, more attentive…she relayed that he told her in no uncertain terms that he’d better go first, because he couldn’t make it at all without her.
He got really sweet.
She did, also, however, get just a little bit like him in his earlier days. In her, it was being sassy. And she always stayed sweet. =^_____^=

Gotta keep the toilet paper on the shoe! That can be Earl’s trademark!

Some ideas are too wild to put in a comic strip.

Nice idea Earl, but then where would the comedy come from?

Lets “wipe” this hero thing away, OK?!

OK, I’ll make you a bumbling hero, kind of like Hong Kong Phooey
Milady Meg about 6 years ago
Apparently, that makes him look presidential.

Can someone explain how people get it stuck to their shoe?
It’s gotta be one messy bathroom.

Brother Leon is, in fact, God (at least in this strip). He can do anything with any of his characters and they’re helpless before his omnipotence.

OK, I can see how that would work. You’ve heard of Captain Obvious, he can be Captain Oblivious.
