    Calvin once tried to make a clay ashtray as his non-smoking parents’ Christmas gift. It could’ve worked as a candy dish instead if I were Bill.

    We keep the ashes in small boxes tastefully marked with each dog’s name.

    The used nicotine gum gets stuck to the butts when you mash them out, and then the ashtray is hard to empty…

    OK, but don’t throw them away. They will be great antiques. In 2080, it will be interesting to watch people try to figure out why the pretty candy dish has those funny looking indentations on the side.
