Ever notice that shampoo bottles are “empty” when you get to the last little bit? I add water and keep going or turn it upside down. And don’t get me started on those potato chip bags that are at least half air.
I don’t use pliers on my toothpaste tube. But I squeeze and roll every bit out that I can. Next time, I should cut open an ‘empty’ tube to see how successful my technique is.
Use the back of your tooth brush to squeegee the remaining paste towards the cap. Someday.. perhaps they will have tubes that have something like Velcro inside the tube to keep it collapsed when empty. The other thing that needs inventing is a press to squeeze those slivers of soap bars together into a new bar.
Squeeze all you want, the toothpaste MFG’s have all you guys snookered with the amount you use filling up the brush. All you really need is a little dab of paste, or a quarter of what you usually use, on the end of the brush to clean your teeth properly.
Yeah, ! don’t get that… the commercials show a luscious, long amount that covers every bristle and has a DQ curl on the end!! Sexy, but wasteful… a little dab will do ya…*

On the plastic ones you can cut the tube off a bit below the top and then clip the open end to keep the “sauce” from drying out between uses.

I use a bag clip on my toothpaste. You can slide it up as you go.
