My daddy wore Old Spice. To this day I can’t smell it without crying.

I remember there being an Old Spice cologne for women. It’s scent was lovely. Does anyone else remember it?

Had to check… yes, they still make it (for men).

Every time I see an Old Spice commercial on TV, I think, “Why would a 30yo guy want to smell like my dad?”

Dad would have turned 89 this year. I still miss him…

When Shulton still was a working company and Old Spice was made in Jersey City, it was every male over the age of 16’s go to, then Mennon bought it out, played with the formulation and everything changed but the name, I believe now, Mennon has been gobbled up by an even bigger conglomerate and the formulation of Old Spice has changed yet again/https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Old_Spice

I like to cheeky but clever marketing that Old Spice came up with that stated, “If Grandpa didn’t wear it you wouldn’t be here today”

When I was little my dad got a boxed set of Old Spice for Christmas one year. I took the red lid of the box, hung it on the bail handle of a living room table and made it into the Little Theater Screen from Garfield Goose and Friends, which one of the puppet critters inside the “castle” would hand out to Frazier Thomas and he would then hang on the wall of the “castle” to play cartoons on. I really loved having my very own Little Theater screen!

John Simm, who played Sam Tyler in “Life on Mars” (proper UK version) said he wore Old Spice every day to get into the 1970s frame of mind, since his dad wore OS when he was kid (back in the ’70s).
